IMPORT DECLARATION / IMPORT CUSTOMS CLEARANCE BY SEREDA GMBH IN BERLIN, GERMANY
If goods are to be imported from a non-EU country (e.g. Ukraine, Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, etc.) into an EU member state, they must be declared to the respective customs authority and an import declaration must be made. After verification by the customs authority, the customs duties (import turnover tax and customs duties or customs taxes, import duties) are determined and paid by the importer. Therefore, it is important to determine all data correctly, such as customs value, code number, permits and licences.
SEREDA GmbH takes over the preparation of the correct import declarations for you at customs, directly via the ATLAS customs system, checks proofs of origin and ensures that all legal conditions are met. To this end, we check whether all the necessary documents and certificates are available before submitting the customs declaration in order to avoid unnecessary delays in customs clearance. We assign the correct goods number (also called HS code or TARIC code) and calculate the import costs based on the customs value. The customs tariff numbers, also called commodity numbers or HS codes, must be determined for each imported good at the beginning of the planning process. It is recommended to check the customs tariff number even before ordering the goods - for ascertaining or clarifying the import regulations / prohibitions / reservations and for ensuring the calculation basis.
After payment of the due taxes / excise duties and import duties, the goods are released. Should customs wish to inspect the goods upon importation, we are there for you to reduce any delays to a minimum.

SPECIAL FEATURES OF THE IMPORT OF GOODS FROM THIRD COUNTRIES TO GERMANY
SEREDA GmbH takes over the application for the documents relevant for customs clearance at the Plant Protection Office / Veterinary Office / BLE/ BAFA for you.
The import of goods from third countries into the EU is generally permitted without restrictions. Deviating from this principle, there are restrictions for certain goods due to international regulations and agreements, EU regulations as well as national regulations. Currently, there are restrictions on the import of textile and clothing products, iron and steel products, horticultural products (fruit and vegetables), rough diamonds and, in order to avoid trade diversion, certain medicines.
The import list must be used to check which goods are affected. The licensing authorities are, for example, the Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) or the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food (BLE).
