CODE OF CONDUCT

Our Code of Conduct is designed to help us make ethical decisions that align with our company values. Each of us is required to know, understand, and apply these principles in our daily work, regardless of our responsibilities and position within the company.

WE COMPLY WITH LAWS AND COMPANY POLICIES

We work with integrity and do the right thing. We always adhere to laws and regulations, our Code of Conduct, as well as the policies and procedures of SEREDA GmbH. In case of any conflicts, we follow the highest standards.

WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR ACTIONS

We understand our responsibilities and take accountability for our decisions and actions.

WE TREAT OTHERS WITH RESPECT

We treat all people – colleagues, clients, suppliers, and stakeholders – with fairness and respect. Our goal is to create a company culture that values diverse perspectives, experiences, and expertise.

WE ARE HONEST

We act in the interest of SEREDA GmbH and avoid any conflicts of interest or unethical business practices. Our conduct is fair, honest, and transparent.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Every employee at SEREDA GmbH has the unquestionable right to work in a comfortable atmosphere free from discrimination, favoritism, harassment, bullying, inappropriate business practices, and conflicts of interest.

Discrimination based on gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, nationality, age, physical abilities, etc., is unacceptable.

We all have the right to a work environment free from harassment.

We do not tolerate bullying, intimidation, or discriminatory expressions, such as jokes on sexual, racial, or religious topics, which may offend colleagues or create a hostile work environment.

HUMAN AND LABOR RIGHTS

Human rights belong equally to everyone, and SEREDA GmbH supports a positive culture of equal opportunities.

Human rights include the right to freedom of thought, opinion, religion, and freedom from any form of discrimination.

SEREDA GmbH consistently respects human and labor rights.

SEREDA GmbH aims to avoid any adverse impact on human rights.

Any form of modern slavery, including forced labor, compulsory labor, and human trafficking, has no place in our operations or supply chains.

We do not use or support child labor.

We expect business partners, including suppliers, to uphold human and labor rights in line with internationally recognized human rights and applicable national and international labor laws and regulations.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

The safety and well-being of every individual working at SEREDA GmbH are our top priority.

We all have the right and duty not to work in an unsafe manner.

We are obligated to stop any unsafe work we observe.

We are responsible for making our work environment safe for ourselves, our colleagues, and visitors.

Every employee at SEREDA GmbH must report to a supervisor:

  • Situations that may pose health hazards and safety risks.
  • Broken or defective equipment or machinery.
  • Requests from supervisors or colleagues to bypass safety measures or otherwise compromise safety.

OPEN COMMUNICATION

If you intend to report a violation, it is important to provide a written statement, present all facts related to the incident objectively and truthfully, and provide evidence.

SEREDA GmbH will carefully review all reports and determine if an investigation is needed. All investigations are conducted independently and objectively. Confidentiality is maintained throughout the process. We all must cooperate in the investigation. If a violation is confirmed at the end of the investigation, corrective measures, including disciplinary actions, may be taken.

SEREDA GmbH will not tolerate harassment or retaliation against whistleblowers, and good-faith reporting of potential violations will not have adverse effects on employment or career. However, malicious or false reports may result in disciplinary action.

PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

SEREDA GmbH processes personal data in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This process is detailed in the Data Processing Agreement.

Every employee at SEREDA GmbH is required to report any signs of unauthorized use or careless or malicious actions regarding personal data processing.

ENVIRONMENT

We comply with local laws and internationally recognized environmental standards.

We strive to reduce negative environmental impacts and recognize the need to act within the concept of planetary boundaries.

We promptly report potential environmental incidents, take appropriate corrective action, and learn from these situations.

We expect our business partners, including suppliers, to share our commitment to environmental protection.

BUSINESS PARTNERS

We engage business partners only for legitimate business purposes.

We ensure that our operations with business partners are fully transparent and subject to appropriate audit and review.

We expect our business partners to be qualified according to SEREDA GmbH standards and to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

SANCTIONS REGIMES AND EXPORT CONTROL

Trade regimes may restrict trade with certain countries, organizations, or individuals (trade sanctions) or the exchange of specific goods and technologies (export control).

Their purpose is to ensure national security and/or pursue interests in another state, for example, to change the behavior of another country, protect human rights, or avoid the use of military force.

Violation of trade sanctions can have legal, financial, and reputational consequences for SEREDA GmbH.

We comply with applicable sanctions and export control regimes in accordance with the Sanctions Policy and Export Control Policy and take no actions that could violate current law.

Our contracts with business partners specify that they are required to comply with sanctions and export control regimes. The business partner is responsible for fulfilling obligations under foreign trade law and must immediately inform SEREDA GmbH of any issues related to sanctions and export control regimes.

All existing prohibitions and restrictions, as well as other limitations, particularly those imposed by customs laws or international and/or political measures in the field of international trade, must be adhered to by business partners.

FINANCIAL INTEGRITY

SEREDA GmbH maintains financial reporting with integrity, security, and honesty. This is key to preserving the trust of our partners, clients, and employees.

SEREDA GmbH adheres to accounting standards in accordance with German tax law.

We strongly oppose any form of money laundering and prevent it by screening and monitoring our partners.

We refuse to make payments that could contribute to financing terrorism or similar activities.
